Ancient Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, c. 664-535 BC. Very large faience ushabti. Depicted mummiform, arms crossed, holding pick and hoe. Vertical register of heiroglyphic inscription of the Book of the Dead down front. The green glaze now turned brown. Weathered surfaces, likely from flooding in the tomb over the millennia. 15 cm (6 inches) tall!
