A fine Nazca serpent bowl from Peru, c. 200 – 500 AD. This lovely example is 4-5/8” in diameter and is decorated with a band of two-headed serpents, painted in alternating orange and cream over a deep red background. Intact, with just some hairline age cracks, good mineral deposits. Acquired at auction from a Rockville, MD estate; ex-Arte Xibalba, FL. #DJG004: $450 SOLD

Nazca, Peru, c. 600 - 900 AD. A huge and excellent Nazca 'Chuspa' or Coca Bag. Each side with a panel containing three registers with a stylized animal motif in alternating deep red, brown and crème with decorative borders, the sash with a checkered décor in the same earthen tones. Beautiful wide-rimmed cup. Decorated with colorful stemmed fruit design around the body. Bright red, yellow, white and black painted details, richness of color not evident in this photo! This piece was on display at the Drexel University Museum in Philadelphia, PA. Measures 123 mm (4 3/4 inches) across. Intact, with two small vertical age cracks on rim. #bowl12a: $450
