Lambert, Professor of Assyriology at the University of Birmingham, 1970-1993, which states: (R-799) "Ancient Finger Ring of Bronze. This has a broad hoop thinning at the edges, and narrowing as it reaches the bezel, which is roughly round and flat. On it is engraved a prancing horse with mane well marked and tail raised. There is a vertical stroke in front of this horse. This comes from west central Asia and is difficult to date precisely for lack of study of such objects hitherto. most probably it dates to c. 1500-500 B.C., though it could be a little later.
